In the Fort William area all this week, hunners an hunners of motorbikes. Just in case anyone is interested and has the time to go check it out. I believe the trials are being held in various places up in the hills throughout the week.

That does sound great, way too far for me though.

Some of those trail riders, when faced with a rocky hill/cliff, are simply awesome I think, more like mountain goat than motorbike.

Ahhh.. The Scottish Six Day Trial..;)

This was how I spent most of my youth riding in these events.:)

I even got a factory bike and was sponsored too..:p

Todays riders are a different breed all together what with the "trick" riding.

Dougie Lampkin has dominated the sport for the last few years, I rode alongside his dad Martin. They live in Silsden just down the road from me.:)

This is me back in 1970 riding up "Moorend" Near Kettlewell in the Yorkshire dales..

And yes the J reg bike was brand new..:geek:

Apologies for the poor quality shot..:(

Ah - the way things used to be.......before the HSE bacame all important gods, when guys used to take their road bike, remove certain bits that weren't needed, and get out on track with it! Good to see - thanks for sharing that!
