As Morph as already metioned, we had a wonderful day at Duxford yesterday, a day that could easily rival some airshows.
The American air museum was off limits because of a private function, but it was the flying that made my day.
Here are a few pictures from me, i found it really difficult using the 350D whilst my 40D is at the doctors.:(

Full display from the Chipmunk, which I really enjoyed.

A fantastic display by 434 and Ferocious Frankee

The star of the day had to be the Yak3, which was doing its display test for its authorisation ticket, hopefully for Legends.

A great set and the Dragon Rapide brought back a load of memories, I remember seeing one at Speke airport, every day. I also like 434 and Frankee. The Yak may have been the star of the show from a flying perspective, I think the photos of the others are better captures and shots.

Spit and Mustang shot is a nicely done photo, perhaps a little under exposed on the Spit a touch... some PP might turn this into a full on cracker methinks...

But of course my fave is the Yak-3 - URRAH! But not really because of the shots themselves... just indulge me a little with the subject :D

Yes, the Yak-3 was quite an amazing fighter, with an incredible turn and roll rate (for its time), I am hardly surprised it can put on a belting display!

Did you know that after the French volunteers of the Normandie-Niemen regiment scored 273 kills, they returned to France in 1945 complete with their Yak-3's - a gift from Stalin for their valour! The French Air Force flew them until 1947.
