thanks
the owl was screeching for his mum every night. when we first spotted him with the binoculars he was a big ball of fluff :) by last night i had managed to track him down and he was losing his baby fluff. it was hard work getting the camera to focus as it was pitch black.
it was an interesting learning curve though.
the bonus was the missus was interested enough to turn a blind eye to my purchase of a 100-500 lens :) deep joy

Nice enough pics but the squirrel and robin would be much nicer if you had got in closer and really filled the frame
I live in the peak district and we have an owl who lives in a tree opposite my house.
There has been many a night I would like to shoot the bugger for keeping me awake and I dont mean with a camera !

Not the usual Peak District shots I was expecting to see when I clicked on this page, so well done for doing something different. Good set of photos here.
