or rather OMG none! I simply cannot believe, coming from compacts and scanned film, how much detail can be bought out from very dark areas with no apparent noise :)
Rather pointless thread I know :bonk:

Big photosites make for better capture and lower amplification. Hence lower noise. Good isn't it

This is one of the biggest things I have noticed since the move to full frame. It's a really comforting feeling to know you can pull it back if you want to :woot:

I had a choice yesterday, helping out as a second at a wedding. Take a 1Ds MKII which I've only had for a week or the 5D. I took the 5D because I know it inside out and I had a blast with it. Shooting 70-200mm at f2.8 the candids of the guests were great fun!
