Couple of Macro flowers

Thought it was time I posted some photos taken with my new macro lens. Still a lot to learn but enjoying the challenge. C & C welcome.

#1 is very very nice. I guess I would have liked the missing bit from the bottom to be in shot. If you took this much care then there must be a good reason for its absence. I think the vivid colours of #1 tend to diminish the subtlety of #2.

Nice shots, I agree the bit missing would have improved the shot but plenty of good points to take from it like exposure and sharpness. I like #2 best, good composition and the colour suits the background plus the little gold flowers are making a statement and balance the shot well. :thumbs:

I will really have to try this Macro stuff one day, some of the shots I see on this forum blow my mind. I like these alot. (I like AJ's too but they usually freak me out :p)
