Bit unsure about these but would welcome comments. Sunny days are a real struggle as I can't play with shutter speeds as much as I would like, 1/25 was the absolute limit when we got a bit of cloud occasionally, think I may need to invest in an ND filter to reduce the light coming in a bit...does anyone else do this and have any thoughts/experiences of it?

Anyhow...

Particuarly interested in thoughts on including barriers at the bottom of the frame (I was intentionally keeping them in to see how it would work) and also on #5, as I know having a car leaving the frame is against the 'rules', but I think it can work occasionally.

I started trying to choose which I liked best - not easy - like them all. But perhaps 4?

Have to say I prefer all the shots with the barriers in. They're a really good compositional aid and really make something different. Very handy on slow pans like these as they blur well.

#7 I would pick out with the best overall composition and focus for a panning shot. You've blurred out the Thruxton buildings very well.

I was struggling with slow shutters yesterday in very bright light. I contemplated putting the filters in the bag this morning but decided it was one more thing I didn't want to carry. I reckon a polariser is the best option - it cuts out about one stop, and will probably reduce some sun glare at the same time. It's likely to reduce sharpness slightly though.

Really like all of these.

My favourites are probably 9 and 4.

That is struggle?

Bang on to me mate!

I like them all, except #8, with the flame... which is even almost there to be honest.

Couldn't choose from the rest... all good!

As Gribbsy says, the barriers work! Who would have thought it!

Really nice set.

Can't wait for our chance to hit this one at Brands in a couple of weeks :D

I love these shots  On the flame shot you have focused on the right bit!! The barriers really do work! Great shots.

number 5 is my favourite
i tried to do some slow pans but i couldnt get as good ones as yours.. in fact all i got was a lot of sensor dust!

the best thing about those shots is that you didnt park a monopod on the mound at the chicane, turn the shutter speed up and sit there all day like a lot of photographers.
