Great set.
Number 3 looks a tad underexposed though.

Craig thanks for looking and you're right #3 is a tad underexposed. I always underexpose my shots incidentally to save blown whites. I guess I didn't lift the exposure in DPP enough before posting.

Good shots - #2 for me - I must get one of those Sigmas!
btw, your exif shows zero exposure bias on all these shots...

Yes I shot these manual and turned down the flash to 1/16 power which under exposed them as 1/4 blew the whites just. I don't think you would be disappointed if you did get one Brian, pretty good lens for the money.

great photos :clap::clap:
can i scrounge a tip off you?
i took a photo of a damsel last night and could not get all of it in focus, the tail was a little blurred. I was using a sigma 105 macro 1/200 f8.0 and 1/2 flash. how do you get the focus so tight?
i am at work atm but will be posting a pic tonight

You need to use f11-f14 really and get it in the right angle so the focal plane covers the insect. You can't always get this right so make sure you always get the eyes sharp as that makes the shot very forgiving. My third shot the tail is going out of focus but the head and eyes are sharp. You could also take a few shots at slightly different focal points and focus stack them. See here Linky (http://www.digitalgrin.com/showthread.php?t=61316)

Stunning, as always!
Mind if I ask where you take these?
I'd like to have a go at shooting them!

That may have been with the panasonic as f8 is as small as it goes on that camera. Don't forget to post your results. ;)
