The Citylink man, with my Sigma 10-20mm lens, that is!!

My original plan of the 150mm Macro fell though - to be continued next month!! - so I plumped for a 10-20mm instead.

I'm dying to get my hands on it, can't stand the tension any longer!!! Of all the lenses I've owned, that's the one I miss the most.

WHERE IS HE????

I am sitting on the window sill pressed up against the window as I have been told this makes them appear faster....

Have you not heard that City Link are making NO deliveries today :D:lol:

I actually heard City Link had disappeared into a quantum singularity about eight this morning. No deliveries until the next ice age.

Sorry.

I've just been and tested my wireless doorbell is working, and left my window open to hear any clanky diesel delivery vans stopping outside....

I'll go try the "press my face to the window" thing, see if that helps!

You will find that he doesn't turn up and if you enquire they will claim that you were not in.

I actually saw a City Link man thinking about making a delivery here, then he got in his van and started to drive off. I was on the phone quicker than a quick thing and got him stopped by the end of the road.

I guess it comes down to the driver in most cases - we had one city link delivery, then the next week they claimed that they couldn't find the place...

Good luck waiting for the lens.

Have just contacted the NSA and they are re-tasking one of their many spy satellites to track my delivery van for me.....

They are going stream the information to me so I can track him in real time and check he does not stop of for bacon buttie and tea.....

Give them a call they are quite accommodating...

Well, when they delivered my D200 back in Feb, they left it on the back doorstep, in the snow.

LOL - If you believe that you will believe anything! As far as I can tell the drivers take 17:30 as the time they have to be home and clocked off... not the last time they can make a delivery.

I may be maligning them but in my experience, if they aren't there by 16:00 they aren't coming and your experience will be the same as Shutterman - the tracking will say that you weren't there and they left a card.

It's even better than that!!

Just phoned the depot, and apparently, the driver "ran out of hours"...

Told them that was complete gumph, reminded them of their last two cocked up deliveries to me, and am now waiting a call back....

So guess who now has to get off his sofa, and drive across town to pick his parcel up from the depot? Not because City Link phoned me back, but because I still have the card they left last time they screwed up a delivery, with the local depot's phone number on the back

Not amused... Next-Day delivery service my "thing I sit on"!

Don't forget to get a refund on the not next day delivery/pick up depot yourself service offered by the retailer.

Mind you, they could have left a card with 'Parcel in black (wheelie) bin' ; had that happen once on bin day, fortunately the our bin-men won't come onto your property to collect bin.

Done that - Camtech were most helpful. They are taking steps to not pay for the shoddy service, and refund me the delivery cost...

Have to agree with you guys that Citylink are pretty rubbish.....I've had to pick up every order from their depot thats ever been sent through them! Only time I haven't had to do this is when I ordered my Sony TV and PS3.....they delivered on time! Shock horror! Having said that they forgot the bloody PS3 and the guy had to come all the way back with it!! Bunch of chumps!
