I've got a day of processing images and burning to DVD today, so I decided to do it home, which is no bid deal.

What is not normal is to sit doing it all on my bed with a 300mm lens in my lap and and one eye on the cherry tree just out the window.

Of course 300 on a FF camera is woefully under-kitted for these little thieves but it's something new to point a camera at. If I get hooked and ending up wanting a 40D and 500mm lens with converters, I will not be at all happy. :bat:

Luckily for me, I got bored with it all before I got near a shot. So scary just how much glass you need for this game, the tree these fellas were in is only 15ft or so from the house. I'm pretty sure I could have thrown the camera at them and knocked them down. :D

One heavy crop of some little parasite

and some evidence of the thief at work.

I'll leave it to the experts now, unless a real vulture appears. :D

I feel your pain, I blame CT 100%.
On the one hand he takes pics that make you want to get out there and join in the fun, and on the other, his are so damn good, you dispair of ever getting close to being happy with your own!!! :bang:
Still, you learn to love the pain!!

Blackbird and a Rook. Well done old bean. Tis a frustrating game without long glass unless you can get really close.

My constant browsing for 500 and 600 mm lenses is totally and utterly CT`s fault. Until, that is, recently when Ian has had to share some of the blame........:D

Why waste money on a long lens when glue is so cheap

ah yes, we have a picture window of the same ilk. Mind you, since we took up togging, no bugger's flown into it!!! in the past we've had hawfinches, goldcrests, bull finches, alsorts (not bassets) but this year, NADA :shake:
