Syncro Flash For Canon A1

Hi, Can Anybody Tell Me If There Is An Alternative Flash, Other Than The Speedlites 199a 177a Etc, That Will Be Compatable With My Canon A1. At The Moment I Use A Metz 45 Cl4, But I Can Only Use This In Conjunction With A Tripod, As I Find It To Heavy And Difficult, To Use Holding It As I Can Only Use My Left Hand. I Have Thought About Getting A 199a Speedlite, But Because Of The Age Of These Now I Wonder About There Reliabilty. Thank You.

I have a Starblitz 3800DEF flashgun which is compatible with my A1. I would think ebay is going to be your best bet for sourcing a suitable gun.

Thanks Ct I Bought A Canon Speedlite Today, In Mint Condition, With Case And Diffuser For £35 Didn't Think This Was A Bad Price.will Make Life Alot Easier, As I Will Be Able To Hold My Camera, Instead Of Putting It On A Tripod All The Time. Thanks Again.
