Do they allow DSLR's in the stands? Very suprised if they do!

Good action shots - I like the symbollic b/w shot personally :)

Got some ok shots there, should have sneaked in with the togs at the game.

I've been watching some of it on TV and noticing all the big lenses in the press areas :)

Also noticed a few DSLRs in the crowd though no lens bigger than a 70-300 at a guess.

Well done on getting the shots. Great timing on that last one with the ball in the racquet.

Took my gear in bag to Queens last year and got loads of stuff with my 80 > 400mm with no probs ... not sure about Wobbledon though ...

One thing that I would say is that after taking photos of Hockey, Rugby, Football and Motorsports and tennis is MUCH harder to take photos of!

No one had a problem with me taking photos of the games and I did see lots of people with DSLRs. No one had massive lens' though.

George

ps. thanks for the kind words everyone :)

oh yeah, they search your bags on the way in by hand and didn't have a problem with my camera...

I'm going on Saturday
I called the club to say that I want to take some pictures
"non-commercial is fine"
I want to take a very big lens
"not a problem as long as you don't sell the pictures"
I hope the gorillas at the door see it the same way!

First thing I thought too! :D

I noticed a few people on TV... but had some real lens envy seeing the press area. Must be a 600mm or two knocking about (at least!)

I loved it when Murray ran into the togs during the Monday match and I bet they were all wishing they had something shorter the 200mm on their cameras!

Well done George.
George if you live in the area, and you are going there again. I would love to see some shots of the roof of number 1 court, as I made that roof, but never had a chance to see it.
Cheers George. Yes another one.

I have never had a problem with getting equipment into Wimbeldon (though I keep telling myself that I will get acredited each year, and each year I slack off). Typically I am carrying 2 bodies, 4 lenses (one long one), and no-body ever says anything to me. It was the same at the Australian Open when I still lived in Australia. I have since stoped bringing my monopod though. Too combersome for the day.

No problem George. I wouldn't say it was interesting, I did it all on a machine.
But it was very satisfying to see it finished.

Good set George, some very clear photography there. I rather liked the "fish nets" mind :)
