View Full Version : Return of the pest

Just thought I'd say hello.

Haven't posted on these forums for some time, or indeed any photography forums until recently. This was partly due to lack of interesting garden matter (winter, bleurgh!) and lack of confidence in my photography. All the flowers and bugs are back now though, so I'm out there improving my techniques.

Nearly lost my beloved Macro (& camera) over the weekend too. I was walking up the garden barefoot and tripped up the step. I had a choice of either dropping my camera (which was around my neck but in my hand) or just taking the fall. I took the fall and ended up ripping most of the skin off the bottom of my big toe :( Camera's alright though (more expensive to fix :p )

I've decided to make a return to the forums anyway. Hope you'll have me back and don't mind me pestering you with my questions, requests for critiques etc. Commiserations! :)

Welcome back,

I'd have been more impressed if you'd have managed to take a few shots of your decent to ground level though in a Matrix slow mo stylee :D

Welcome back,

lol. It seems you have dedication young grasshopper, for taking the the brunt of the fall for your camera, but a true dedicated padawan would have documented the fall from a variety of angles, apertures, and shutter speeds.

Joking aside though. Good to see you back on the forums.

Feel free to pester away, and enjoy your stay here :)
Hope your toe gets better soon. But please...no recovery pics of sliced toes :gag:

Are you absolutely sure you don't want pics? I'm sure with a couple of extension tubes & the macro, I could get a lovely close up of the wound.... or maybe I should wait for the gangrene to set in

Thanks for the warm welcome back guys. Should have a lot more time to spend Photographying from here on in :D
