Here's a couple of pictures that were taken 30 minutes ago in the fading light.
Both pictures were taken standing upright and handheld, using my D200 & Nikkor 70-200 plus TC14E-II teleconverter giving a focal length of 280mm
The first picture is with VR on (standard VR, not active VR).
Exif: 1/20th @ F4, ISO 200

I have a long background in target rifle shooting so I am able to control my breathing to a very good degree...and my standing stance is again very similar to what I would use in target shooting, but I have to say that VR is just simply awesome :D
