Hi Everyone,

Haven't done a post for a while but I thought I would pop this one up from a recent wedding, I'm a big fan of monos and I loved the sky in this. All thoughts are welcome.

Beautiful

Shame you've got fragments of other body parts in there, but that aside, I would be chuffed with this shot :)

To me it looks like the bride it trying to run away from the hands that are trying to grab her, i really like :)

She was running from the photographer ;)

Thanks for the superfast comments guys, I just know someone is going to ask for the colour version sparking another colour v mono debate! Well I'm putting my foot down! You'll just have to imagine the deep blues and greens :)

That for me is one rare shot.

Nice to see a wedding shot so different from the normal staid formal approach.

Excellent work!

Great shot, but I would try and bring some detail back on the brides head (might be my monitor) and clone out the head and arm of the guy.

To be honest, the conversion takes my breath away.

I am absolute pants at mono conversions .. as each time I change a tone a bit I like it and can never decided what I want.

This is just wonderful. :woot:

Cheers Janice, I know what you mean about the tones, it's bad when you go into the colour libraries in CS3 and there are so many it makes your head spin.

The weather was actually really nice that day, probably the best sunset of the year but I was a bit burnt out to snap a landscape on the way home, we got through 26 GBs worth :gag:

what a stunning picture
the sort of thing you'd see in a top-notch wedding catalogue
you must be dead chuffed
I expect the bride was too

well done, sir!

Thanks guys, might give some top notch wedding catalogue a ring :)

There seems to be loads of wedding posts up at the moments, not surprising really. I think it's great for ideas and inspiration for other togs.

I'm really only here for a break in the editing of last weeks wedding, must get back to it. Don't mean to bump this but I prefer to thank peeps for there comments, especially when I get called a sir!

Hey, Pete, I'm glad you bumped it cos I'd have missed it otherwise. It's not often I look at a wedding pic and say 'that's an exciting shot'. It's very dramatic and romantic in the style of Wuthering Heights or Jane Eyre. It's perfect in mono - colour would detract from the drama, imo :)

I would be so thrilled if it were mine - and I would probably clone out the person on the right, too.

Brilliant.

Love it, love it, love it.

It's got so much drama, it just works for me.

Love it.
