Firefox problem

Firefox has started playing up in the last couple of hours and hopefully you can help. Everytime I go to access TP (and other sites which require username/password) I have to keep logging in. I've looked in options and made sure that Private Data is not cleared and checked or unchecked all the other relevant boxes.

If I'm logged into a site (like TP) and open a second browser I go straight in without any problem but if I close Firefox completely and then re-open I have to sign in again. I've cleared all the cookies and started again but to no avail.

Any ideas because it's driving me mad!

Have you got private browsing enabled? It clears all cache/cookies on exiting... ?

Tools, Options, privacy tab, un-check always clear my private data when I close firefox

I presume these two are the same, if so, I have unchecked Always clear my private data when I close Firefox.

also in the cookies bit is the keep them until they expire checked
