Taken with the much slated 75-300mm.

Lovely shots Bachs ... you can certainly see why raptors have the protruding eyebrow to protect their eyes from the sun ! And these two shots clearly demonstrate them working very effectively.
TFS ...
Good advert for that Lens Steve !!!

They both look pretty good, great colour, and nice detail.
Really like the capture of the reflection in the eye of shot #1
As for the #2, is it doing an impression of a chicken ;)

Your on the right track to turn this common missconception around, the 1st capture is marvelous
Nice detail and colour in those 2, really crisp shots.
I have this lens too and as you have shown, underestimated and overlooked at times when wanting a lowerend budget zoom. ;)
They couldn't get any crisper. The first shot is super.

must agree i love the 1st shot imho fantastic:clap:
lovely tight framing on that first one, i like it a lot :D
If you think these are good, go and look at mfwilds' recent post of the eagle.
I have to spend a lot longer in photoshop to acheive a result like that.
I'm throwing all my gear in the bin!

I only wish the last one I posted was mine. I just tweaked Rhodospins shot. My last raptor post was here (http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=7156).

I know you are only kidding. Just need to sell a few spare body parts for some L glass :)

Love the top one, fabulous clarity and so full of intent with that look.
I'm hoping to sell a body part to get a decent long lens...but it seems the Chinese have swamped the market...so I'm thinking of selling a bike too… …I know that’s ridiculous, but hey, what can you do.
