shot this a little earlier...more out of desperation to shoot something really,as not being able to get out with the recent bad weather,although today was nice..had to catch up with some jobs :bang:

Love the DOF of this but the white in the background on the right is detracting from the lovely flower shot. Perhaps it might be worth selecting and toning this area down a bit.

How can a flower as small and delicate as Lobelia look so pristine after all that rain? It's a lovely shot, although I gree with GA about the oof lobelia in the shot. But then they're so small with tightly packed flowers it's not easy to get other flowers out of the shot.

Still a very charming pic. :)

thanks both,appreciate your comments and honesty :thumbs:.as you've said..the OOF lobelia is a little distracting so i've attempted to tone it down in photoshop...i'm not very good with photoshop as of yet,but i think it's a little better........:shrug:

i'm embarrased to say i still haven't looked at it barbara...:bonk:

the good news is i'm starting an adobe photoshop course in september where i hope i can then use the book to great effect alongside some good tutoring..:lol:
