I was fortunate yesterday afternoon as a guest at a children's party in that almost all of my shots were keepers :) So thrilled I can't begin to tell you.

Pity about this one though - the bloke was the host and it'd be lovely to have his face properly exposed.

Can anyone do something to improve the shot for me please and lighten the man's face? I have a feeling that it's something to do with masks which I don't understand yet.

Many thanks in anticipation of your kind assistance :)

Its getting late so just a quick "shadows lift" and tweak the highlights, a tad of USM and a re-size to 800 px max ( forum limits :D )
I think also It might be an idea to clone out the girl on the right?

Done using Dodge and Burn, within Apple's Aperture 2.

I don't have anything to open his eyes though

Levels adjust overall and selective levels adjust on the geezer's face.

Thanks Cobra, Oli and CT - I'm going to give these things a go tomorrow.

I don't have anything to open his eyes though

Funny you should mention that......

I found this one (quickly scanned through the thumbnails yesterday and thought it was a duplicate of the other one) so will try the things advised and see what happens!

Thanks again :)
