I think this is what it is called you know when you make an image black and white but have maybe one object that is still in color how do you do that in paint shop pro?

I thought "colour popping" is where the colour really pops out of an image, ie when using flash, selective (de)saturation/colouring is what you mean (as linked to above).
Rather than go all the way to black and white I like to take the saturation level down but still leave a bit of colour in the image making the subject stand out more...
its called popping by some people and selective colour by others, and its seen by many as a bit cliched now, however i think we fall intot he trap of thinking like photographers and we have to rememebr it is far from cliched to non photographers. and it just doesnt work for every image! :)

Aye, same thing with HDR images as well. While this forum might be a bit bored of them, plenty of the great unwashed think they're amazing.
