Forgive me if this is a silly question - but what did you re-enact?

When you think what the Romans did (no, not building roads) it sounds either very bloody or very 9pm-watershed-ish (my new word for today ) and the chap on horseback has clearly come prepared. :help:

A colourful photo opportunity, for sure. :)

Hi jeangenie

Ribchester was an old roman setlement,The annual Roman re-enactments take place every year on the second weekend of July on Ribchester Playing Field. They put on exciting and realistic demonstrations about everyday and military life. There are military displays, the firing of artillery, Roman Cavalry and gladiatorial combat to see and opportunities for children to dress up in Roman armour.

Thanks for looking

Dave
