has anyone with an iPhone 2g or 3g running on V2.0 software noticed a reduction of stability or operation on safari ?

Mine seems to be suffering with issues now saying servers aren't responding or it can't connect :(

Also now it diverts calls to answerphone when surfing......it never used to do that :annoyed:

Anyone else finding glitches?

I've noticed too that if you have the screen expanded and your making a post or similar the screen is all over the place, alternating between the top left corner and the letter you've just added.

not sure if all todays apparent niggles have been bourne of a poor data service though as i was away from wifi

well i was near you actually when it was doing it, I was in Birkenhead today.

I found if you reduced the screen size down it was ok

Not had any of those issues. Have noticed the operation is slower with 2.0 than the previous software though. 2G iphone.

I've got a 32Gb Touch running v2.0 and it seems to randomly close apps now and again. It's also been freezing more often (not a lot, just more often).

Mine randomly closes Apps too. Not noticed the other issues. (Mine is a 3G).

I love the way it can track you. (Or do I?)

Screen is clearer, better delete options in mail, love that you can upload photos straight to the web if you want to.

And who's got the pint of beer app. Isn't the most useless program but the most fun? :)

Mines deffo a little shakey since 2.0, maybe they'll bring out a bug fix update. :)

Venomator sent me a great app....it changes the phone key pad to an old style dial.....:D

I find SMSing a little slow, like the keyboard takes a second to register each touch other than that it's fine.

hold down the top button and the circle button for about 2 or 3 secs. you wont lose any data but it will reboot it.
failing that you can use itunes to reset the unit back to factory settings (which will lose your data). Then restore your data from i tunes back up

I haven't noticed any of the above problems so far (16GB 3G) but I do know that Apple have completely broken the BMW iDrive integration that worked oh so well with the MK1.

I can still makes and receive calls, but I no longer have access to the contacts list in the car. VERY VERY annoying.

I think the worst thing about the new phone is the battery. Used to last all day then I'd charge it overnight. Now I find I'm charging during the day.

Might be something to do with me playing too many silly games like iPint and all the rest. Can't keep off Facebook and SnapMyLife either...

that was the originally reason they didnt include 3G, they said the battery wouldnt last.
and they were right! I'm getting half the battery life i had on the 2G phone

They quote a better battery life on the 3G though

Anyone else find inputting passwords are laggy and you actually see the character for a few seconds before it's replaced with a dot ?

I'm thinking v2.0 is buggier than a room full of buggy things.

I'm still suffering an error 302 in safari when surfin :(

Thats not lag. Its designed that way so you know if you did get the last character of the password correct.

I have noticed the password lag thingy - a bit longer than it used to be but at least it gives you time to check you've hit the right key ...

Sometimes when inputting it does generally seem slower than before ... :suspect: ... but overall I am very pleased with the upgrade and it'll keep me going until the 3G hits my doorstep ...

heard it doesn't have sound

Correct and wouldn't it have been awesome if it had ... :D

1.1.4 didn't do it. :(

The safari 302 error is the biggest niggle when out and about.

NathanJT

Are you sure it's a HTTP 302 error? That's a temporary redirect and isn't technically an error. What do you actually see?

digitalfailure

the text from the pop up box is

Safari error kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork error 302
