Well I bit the bullet and despite a very indifferent forecast went back to Tebay today having blanked yesterday and went up onto Jeffreys Mount. I got there around 11am and the weather to say the least was not good but the forecast was for it to clear which it gradually did. In fact by about 1 to 1.30 it got out quite nice and my hopes were raised however doubts had set well in before 2.30 when the first Hawk appeared

shortly to be followed by a little Tuc

and very soon after this guy

by this time Ian (dseered) was down in the layby and had his first Typhoon under his belt and we thought we were in for a good afternoon but alas that was it. We stayed around until 6 in hope but at least we got some action even though the conditions were not the best.

Cheers
Bill

Good to see you posing again Bill. As you say the conditions weren't the best but I bet it was good to be out on the hills! It's been a while for me now (damn work and weather).

Your 2nd Typhoon is my pick, always good to see a different backdrop.

very nice set, all these locations are miles away from me, but would love to have a crack at this type of photography.

In fact i have 2 Typhoons, doing night fighter type aerobatics above me right now ! noisy ? erm yeah and the afterburners in the dark up among the clouds is absolutely spectacular, they are too quick and far away to get a decent pic of though :(
