1st tries

These are 3 phots I took recently, 1 of which I have plyed with giving credence to the phrase idle hands.

The first one is good, the second I just don't 'get' (what is it a picture OF? What are you trying to show me? What point are you trying to make?) Last, but not least, I am not to hip on the effect you applied to the third (but that is a taste issue, not really a criticism of the picture itself)

Thanks for your comments I appreciate them and to answer your questions I took picture 2 basicly to see how the lens handled the contrast and shadow detail, which is quite good I think, the effect in picture 3 was achived by masking off areas in photoshop elements and changing the colours and saturation then solorising the whole picture, I agree it is a personal choise but you can get some interesting and diverse effects experimenting with the different aspects of eliments, and its a good learning curve and fun.

Not sure about #2 but #1 is good - a face full of character. Perhaps might have been better with less visible of the background behind his left ear. #3 as a bit of surrealism has potential though I'm not sure that it is really saying anything (if that matters).
