We (the family and I) arrived on Sunday a little late so our vantage points were limited. The ground arena is a natural grass bowl. Unfortunately the best spot for the light was not the best place for the shows and the best place for the shows was into the sun.

We settled in a spot with sun at about 30 degrees to my left....Its the best i could get.

These guys had already started so I quickly whipped out the 100-400. It was by far my favourite show so choosing 3-5 pics has been hard!

This is an unprocessed shot:

I raised the Levels, Lowered the contrast a lot, Upped the Saturation a little and lowered the brightness and yet again Sharpened :bang: to get these:

#2 - note the aerial on the back of the helmet..The guy is commentating as he jumps!

#4 Three bikes doing what they call the Close Train

Finally I took 9 rapid shots of one bike, I cut the bike from each photo and pasted it onto the first shot:

#5 - The jump!

Excellent, I like all of them. My favourits is #4 which works really well with the three bikes close to one another and the roof line below. I would say that you shoud check the roof lines to ensure they are on the level, some are not.

Thanks, Its not as good as I'd hoped, Shooting into the sun was a pain! But with three kids and a wife in tow I didn't have much say in my vantage point.

The best position would have bee looking at the back of the truck!
