I had a little play and came up with this

I have probably done it all wrong as its bloody hard :( I am finding it difficult to know what a photo needs to make it look good :help:

Mark,

You have the right idea here. For the water movement you need a longer shutter time but by doing this you are allowing more light in therefore allowing the highlights to be over exposed. ND filters will restrict the light allowing you to have the water movement with out over exposing the rest of the shot.

This one was take using +6ND filter: http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=65460

You will learn in time don't worry. Its overexposed so think if you turn down the exposure in editing if you shot in raw then it would help as the blown leafs etc are distracting. keep going with it:thumbs:

The first thing that caught my eye is that the leaves are blown, even in the edited version. Also it looks like the white balance might be wrong, but i'm no expert.
Composition wise it doesn't so a great lot either tbh

Sorry fella :(

Edit - Beaten well and truly to it - got distracted while typing
