Lovely set. Hard to pick one, but #2 with its air of sadness and mystery does it for me. it's going to be great when we see the results of your having mastered the light box if this is what playing produces.

Really like no1 lovely detail and colour. Not sure about the lighting or the vase in the others :thumbs:

#2 is a knock out, John. Absolutely love it. I think poppy pictures are generally such a cliche but there's something special about this one - composition, lighting - not sure but: :love:

#1 is lovely too, but for me the softness on the edges of the some of the petals is a bit distracting. The veins are beautifully defined in the rest of the shot, and I think it's a pity to lose out on those edges. I hope that makes sense. It must be getting late :bonk:

Thanks Jean - I guess my DOF was too small on that one :) something to bear in mind next time - all useful stuff :D

Is that the true colour of the geranium (1st)? if it is I want it :love: I have loads of varieties but that one is lovely.

Your last poppy in vase is my favourite.

Yes - that is the original colour - no tweaking on this set really.

Glad you like the last one, that happens to be my fave of this set :)

I agree with Susane, that first one is lovely but the last one with the vase is gorgeous - I personally like the lighting on that one :D:clap:

Donna, Adam, Dave - many thanks - I've had hours of fun in my cottage with cardboard, paper and lights :D

This was another from the box but it was taken for the poem and didn't fit with this set at all knife (http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=798460#post798460)
