Be gentle, this is only my 2nd or 3rd image post. I managed to grab this candid whilst photographing people at an impromptu concert in Stockholm a couple of weeks ago. Apart from the levels, and a slight crop, the only post processing I've attempted is to desaturate the picture to leave just a little colour in the picture.

Thoughts/suggestions???:D

I am very disappointed - this is great and I would like to see loads more from you. This is a great candid. The subject is full of character and the people in the background provide an intriguing backdrop.

Cheers rh, I liked the shot when I took it, something to do with light around the nose & lips against the dark skin of the random lady. Unfortunately my post processing skills are virtually non existent (my 15 year old brother in law helped me with some photoshop tips!!??)

Praise be to the nifty fifty, and the fact I could pretend I was aiming at the singers when I took it!! ;)

This is a great shot. Dof is spot on, focus is crisp and plenty of detail.

:agree:

and the 15-year -old brother-in-law gave you good advice on the pp - it's just right for this shot.

I like it, well captured.

I'm wondering what it would look like with a crop on the right hand side (maybe crop square?) as I find the light background on the right a tad distracting.

It's pretty much what I was thinking.

Really great image. I agree about the crop on the right, or, depending on how much space there is on the original, the same shape but shifted slightly to the left.
