Does anyone here use a programme called PTLens?
It can apparently automatically correct distortion (barrel, pincushion, etc)introduced by particular lenses, and had a good review in AP a while back.
cheers
 yep and its well worth the few quid it costs. I use it as a CS plugin, but iy will owrk with other programs and as a free standing program. Go for it!

Do you use it on every image, or only when it obviously needs using?
only when needed, ie if distortion is obvious such as when using wide angle lenses. It automatically corrects barrel distortion of most common lens/camera combos - and you can manually adjust for those it doesnt have in its database. What it doesn't correct automatically is perspective, such as converging parallels in architecture shots, but the sliders allow you to do that your self. It is also useful for getting rotation to correct wonky horizons just right, getting rid of or adding vignette, and correcting chromatic aberation. I think I paid £8 for the full version and would still say its probably the best £8 I ever spent.

Second that - I use it too but only for the automatic lens distortion features. I prefer to use CS3 for chromatic aberation / vignette correction.
