I've been playing with HDR again:bonk:
The 1st one is the HDR from nine images:

The 2nd one is just a single image, straight out of the camera:

Click either image for the large size from my Flickr.
Overall i'm not sure about the HDR, its possibly too washed out.
Both taken with Nikon D80, Sigma 24-70mm 2.8 lens

Your thoughts please:)

I love the HDR shot! You can up the contrast and saturation even after the HDR conversion if you want it darker, but I like it as-is.

I think I'd try just bringing up the blacks a bit in the HDR - nice shot but as you say, looks a bit washed out

Photomatix isn't really the end of the job. Its a decent shot and I think your HDR treatment works well. But there is a bit more you can do. Try adding some contrast masking (http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=30650&highlight=contrast+masking) after you've done the HDR and then adjust levels etc to suit. You don't have your edit box ticked, but I had a quick go with it and there's more punch available.

I'll have a play with that. What exactly do you mean by edit box ticked:thinking:

ooh, very nice. I'm a lover of HDR's and this one is nice. Upping the contrast a bit would be lovely.

The image editing box can be found in your user control panel under the 'edit details' section - as i've just found out :)
