Hi
Here are my first edits from batch today taken at the War & Peace show at the Hop Farm near Maidstone.
Really good day out if you are looking for something to do at the weekend. Lots of boys and their very big toys...
Also plenty of Battle re-enactments going on throughout the day.
Here they are then my first 7....

Absolutely LOVE these shots. Very cool... wish I could have been there. Out local re-enactors are crap.
I would be hard pressed to choose a favorite, but if I must, I would choose #3 because the front man is representing my old battallion, the 82nd.

Thanks for the comments....
The processing consist of my normal raw conversion in Aperture then I push to CS3 from within Aperture and do my normal retouch, close and save the file which is then Pushed back into Aperture where I have applied a colour mono conversion to tint and washout the colours.
Hope that helps..

Great set of shots, and I love the processing. I'm afraid I didn't really follow it that much either. It's tough to choose a fave.

Sorry chaps I do all my conversion work from within apple software called Aperture.
The CS3 works I carried out on all images consist of Levels, Contrast, Highlight Detail, Sharpening, and noise reduction.
Then images is closed which moves it back into Aperture where I applied a colour mono conversion (which is basically a mono conversion with a tint) I then reduced the strength of the tint so it bought back some of the original colour of the image.
Does that help at all.
Thanks for the comments JGS

Not at all Preacher.... did not mean it that way... meant it as glad you found something you liked, out of the group... I like it when people find a particular image they just like or can relate to...
Make it interesting and worthwhile...
Sorry for the misunderstanding..

Great pictures shutterman, I love my WWII stuff and from what you have potrayed in the pictures it looks like a very well done renactment (sp)
Great set, the colouring is spot on. I wasn't going to pick a favourite until I saw the last one. Now I have, that's fabulous, well spotted and captured. Brilliant composition.

Thanks for the comment Rh... I do like to try and isolate some items and try to make them work by on there own, I just thought that was rather striking and would work rather well.
