Sand flys..

So i took this the other day.

it's REALLY hard to see what's going on, so i've really gone to town with the processing. I dunno whether it works though. Did contrast mapping, with masking of the sand, and then the whole image and then the sand again.

ended up with 4 negatives, and a full colour, which have all gone together to make the final image, which again got the curves adjustment.

i didn't sharpen it, as the pic ended up REALLY speckily..

what do you guys think??

Just realised i should have cloned out the birds right on the horizon line.

i would say even the sand out a bit in regards to colour and make the wind blown sand thicker and more obvious.

I am afraid it does not work for me the Horizon is very distracting as well as the bird on the horizon just off centre to the right. But I do like the tonal colours of the sand.

This is not on sand btw, it's on a sandstoney rocky surface, purely man made, but it's not sand.

You can see the sand down in the distance.

It's in new brighton on the wirral.

Just had a VERY quick rotate and crop, and changed it to look like this.

cloned out the birds also, and the horizon isn't as distracting, but i've lost some of the detail on the left.

the original shown above is a crop anyway, so i'll have a play with the full sized RAW again in the morning.
