Hi, Hope this is the right section (Mods feel free to move if not), this is the first time I have tried this as normaly do wildlife, but thought I'd give it a go to try somting new. Not sure if it works but would like to here your thoughts.

I think the wall to the right of the shot distracts from the image as a whole, nice idea though :)

Nice use of the doorway as a frame & lead in. The image would be improved if the distracting stonework on RH bit of stone was cropped out

Personally I would change the format to portrait, crop to a shape to get all the gateway in but just have about an inch of wall each side of the gateway, inch above and a couple of inches of the path below.

Thanks all, wasent sure about the bit of wall on the right myself, might have a go at croping at some point to see if it looks better, thanks for your replies gives me somthing to work on.

I can only echo what others have said about the wall on the right and portrait mode, good idea all the same.....:thumbs:

i like it as the others have said you are lead into the image really well, but there is a little too much wall i would get closer to the gate next time:)

Hi,

Hope you don't mind but I've taken the liberty of cropping the shot and lightening it up just a touch. It's actually a really good idea :thumbs: and the eye is led nicely through the frame, but as has been said above it just needed to be a little closer to the gate to avoid the protruding wall.
