how do i get what im looking at in adobe to look the same as on the web when i add my pics to a thread they seem a bit washed out is this to do with reduceing the size :bang::bang::bang:
unless you are concerned about retaining the exif data in your web versions, try using the 'save for web' option rather than the more normal 'save' or 'save as' - that usually sorts the issue unless you are running adobe in an unusual colour profile, not sRGB.

Are you quite sure it's not just how it interacts with the background?

Ha, another one like me who just calls the son when confused, then I get "Dad I have shown you umpteen times how to do this" but after a while of not doing what he explained I just forget  sometimes it is all gobbledydooke to me making the tv settings and remote control seem a doddle:D

exactly the same as the imported original
The last image I posted is not "that far out" even though it was a quick edit with some room for improvement
TBH it might be your monitor settings or your editing software settings
Thats a little outta my league though
