Shiny Two through Tornado Alley 21 Jul Bills take..

Well a strange day at tebay today beautiful weather couldn't ask for better totally different from last week thank goodness. Got up on the East side around 9am at 10.30 this guy came through very low and very fast

I thought maybe we are in for a good day around 12.30 I went across to the mast to see Graham and Ian who had just arrived and video Barry wow he takes good stuff that man got settled down Sean from Barrow arrived and we headed for the long wait.

14.43 the scanner spluttered and while Barry and I were trying to listen Sean shouted Tornado....it's Shiny Two.....bingo

a stunning pass it was the WC in the front and Sq Ldr in the back.

That was it until 4pm when two Hawks came through not very good pass at all the special paint job was high the other was way over the far side.

Waited till 5.30 and went home.

Apparently Shiny Two is an unofficial nickname of No 2(AC) Squadron and this is one of their planes painted in special markings for their 95th anniversary in 2007.
