View Full Version : My first Macro's (A simple Fly)

First off, a massive thanks to Hammerhead64 for lending me his Raynox macro filter.

It's so weird seeing insects this close.

The raynox filter was used on a sigma 70-300mm APO DG lense on a Nikon D50.

I tried to get the eyes in focus for each shot, is that the right thing to aim for?

Well they look pretty darn good to me! Not sure that the ones from the rear work as well though.

They look good, what sort of focal length did you use? I have the same lens (Canon Fit) but haven't found the macro switch much use.
