Hi Guys,

I'm a big fan of this section of the forum and I'm thinking of placing an order for the following items from Onestop-Digital:

Kenko DG Teleplus Extension Tube Set - Canon
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Lens

Costing: £118.98

I am however wondering wether it would be better to save up for a proper macro lens. So with that in mind I could do with some examples of what is possible with a Nifty Fifty & Extension Tubes!

Thanks,

Mark

Thanks for the offer but it's only £158.99 new from Onestop Digital.

Anyone else got any Nifty Fifty & Extension Tube shots to share?

Save up for the macro lens. Either the Sigma 105mm or (save more!) 150mm. You won't regret it.

I've seen some cracking shots on here using the Sigma 150mm.

I've just been experimenting with my 50mm and ebay tubes, here's the results (http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=821567#post821567). I can't stretch to a Macro lens at the moment, and had the 50mm for a long time from an OM1.

Indeed, I was considering that. Money is quite tight at the moment so I was hoping to get something cheap like the Nifty Fifty and Extension Tubes.

Indeed, but you'd expect that from a £300-350 macro lens! Unfortunately I've not got that money and if I did I'd likely spend it on a more general purpose lens.
