Here are my first few close up shots (can they be considered macro?) I used a Nikon D60, 50mm f1.8, and a Raynox MSN-250.

This one was done with the built-in flash. The bud things turned out a little bright but when I made a darker capture the stem thingy turned too dark and I really wanted to emphasize the stem's colours among the green.

Looking back at this picture, I'm thinking I should have gotten closer to one of the yellow things with a zoom lens in order to make it bigger. But this is what I've got.

This is the inside of a rose (or at least I think it was a rose...of sorts). Maybe it wasn't a rose. Oh well. I'm not sure what to think of this and thought I'd throw it out there for some comments.
Don't be afraid of being brutally honest, I can take it.
And for those who would like to see the original versions (or the exif data) here's the link to my Macro set (http://www.flickr.com/photos/klukowski/sets/72157606418902038/)on Flickr.
