For those about to buy a D200

Don't do it yet! I've just been to Digital Depot in Stevenage and whilst talking to the manager about the D200 he said that in the next week or two Nikon are going to announce that with every D200 bought the customer will receive the MB-D200 battery pack and two batteries free of charge. The MB-D200 is usually £149 and I don't know how much the batteries are but it appears to represent a considerable saving.

I've just spoken to Digital Depot again and whilst they are still awaiting delivery (due any day now) they have confirmed the price at £1159 for a D200 body + MB-D200 battery grip + spare battery.
