I did the daft thing today of formating one of my cards before I'd downloaded the shots on it. Yeah... :bonk:

So I had a quick look on the web for some recovery software and the first one to come up was PC Inspector smart recovery. It takes ages to do it's thing so I left it playing with the card while I went out.

Just taken a look and it got all my raw files back from yesterday. It also got a load of files back from the previous shoot, two formats ago and since that didn't fill the card, it went on to get files from a shoot at least three formats back, possibly more.

I'm Impressed. :D

:nono: that for recovering pc files try this (http://www.pcinspector.de/smart_media_recovery/uk/welcome.htm) one for the memory card recoverer or this direct download link (http://download.pcinspector.de/pci_us_smartrecovery.exe) for the ultra lazy

Nice one, I'm bound to need that at sometime. :D

Possibly useful on some early small cards as well....Maybe I can find some old lost images. I had my computer stolen a few years back, and no backups...:bonk: :(

...fingers crossed.
