Yet Another Macro!

Well, I said I'd post one of my macro's from this afternoon, so here it is!

Canon 20D and 100mm Macro, F/11. 1/200 sec, ISO 200

No tweaking, just a crop and a re-size.

So what do people think?

Not sure how much you've cropped this already but there's two things I'd be tempted to do.

First flip it so the bee is on the top of the flower, and second crop in a bit tighter.

Generally, if you can, try not to have a solid background directly behind the main subject, the flash can cast quite a harsh shadow and it really shows it up. I very quickly tried to take out some of the shadow along the back and it totally changes it. Nice and sharp though, I've still to get a bee shot I'm really happy with.

I see what you mean.

But no flashgun batteries were harmed during the taking of that shot, t'was illuminated purely by solar power :)
