View Full Version : More grass and other short stories
Having noted a comment that I don't post up much stuff (which is 100% true) I thought I'd share a few more little snappets.

I'm fairly sure I like one of them, not at all sure about the other two.

Love the third dazzaji, fabulous shot, nice comp and with the clouds all swirling like that looks fab.
I like the second too although it seems a little out of balance with that dark area at the bottom which I'd perhaps trim a little.
The first does little for me I'm sorry, perhaps if the grass was not blown out it would work better.
:)
TFS.
Now that's why I love ths place and the subjective nature of photography.
The third one I'm struggling to get on with, not sure why perhaps I feel I've overcooked the processing.
The second one, I used some burn to give me the dark area at the bottom and the first is the one I like the most. Although, I have the benefit of seeing the original, where the detail is there in the top of the grass.
:) :)

Well that’s a same, is that my screen perhaps?, all I have is a white tan colour covering all of the grass, no detail at all, just all highlights.
:)
Last one is very nice:thumbs:

I can see some detail on my monitor having just re-calibrated it.
3rd shot for me but the grass at the bottom looks like you did some heavy 'lifting' on it and looks a tad un-natural.
The sky is ace though.
Second one doesn't do it for me due to the blown sky but quite like the first one.

Have to say the third is superb and the other two are not quite up to it ... imo !
I love the third picture, it looks great, beautiful colours and mood. The second picture is a not quite, i like what you have done but it hasn't quite worked in my humble opinion. First one i had a quick play with so i hope you don't mind, here's what i think it should look closer too and with the original and a bit more time than i put in i think it would look really good.

I'm not sure on the first and think the third may benefit from being desaturated a tad.....I quite like the second but think a little lens flare or something through the trees might help.
