Seeing as macro seems popular at the moment I thought I'd have a go.

Violas

Went to local common to try to find some dragonflies but got distracted by this little blighter working away.

It was fascinating watching this beast making its web, must have spent half an hour watching it. I never did take any shots of the dragonflies.

When I flipped the images so the spider was the 'right way up' it just didn't look right, so I thought I'd leave it as shot.

I went out with good intentions to use my tripod, take my time etc etc. But it all went to pot and I just shot handheld. When I got home I was quite pleased with some of the shots, but vowed to go back today to have a 'proper' go - ended up at work instead :(

Agreed the violas make a super shot Rick ! The spider shots are ... well spider shots ! The detail on the underside of the second is really good ...

First is very nice, don't like spiders though but still good shots.

ha ha...I'll show it to her and see if it meets with her approval. But she has a very discerning taste as you know....thats why she has me. Ha ha ;)

The violas make a nice pattern and are very colourful, should be on your wall yes! Not a fan of spiders but their umm, good shots!

finish my lunch now, :gag: :D

All are excellent but the violas are striking and line up at a nice angle up the image - follow the judges favourite rules!

How vivid are those Viola's... if 'her indoors' wont let you hang it up, I'd certainly let you hang it in mine' OOh that doesnt sound quite right somehow ... but you know what I mean!
Like the second spider shot ... even though they make my skin crawl!

I've shown her and she says "yes its OK, but you'll have to take a picture of some eggs to hang in the kitchen" :thinking: :thinking: :thinking:

And they'll have to be blue ones and white ones, not just any old eggs :lol:
