One of my friends is a trustee of a trust which "Preserves the history of our mechanical heritage" in East Sussex which runs a Steam Fair every year and I got invited down with Ian for a photo op.
Here are a couple of my best.

With thanks to Ianc_uk for the processing on this one.

Dave
Like that first one - the background with the general fog really makes it stand out.
Pah Ian told me he had travelled back in time......he lied to me
Love that first shot :) Very authentic!

Love the first shot - I bet it would look really good in sepia or B&W too.
Should have put the B&W one i did up not the colour one ;)
The first shot looks like it could have been taken when these things were in everyday use, until you notice the guy in the white T-shirt on the left.
A bit of selective cloning will fix that problem.
I think it would suit a bit of ageing treatment too.
Great shots Dave

Just the dreaded red X here :(
That first shot is cracker... the steam, the guy holding his hat on, the whole atmosphere is there. The shot looks a tad under-saturated, but it's probably how it was.. and suits it, I don't think I'd alter a thing anyway. :)
Heres a really quick edit on the first one ! :)

Great detail on that 2nd shot. Takes me back to being dragged around the Steam fairs as a kid. In my last house in evehsam, they used to have a Steam Fair over the May bank holiday each year in the fiedl next to us. Great to watch , but not impressed by the whistles going off at midnight ;)
