Kenko 2x Tele Converter do they work well with the canon 100-400 is L lens ?

Depends what you mean by "work well". The image quality of the 100-400 suffers with a 2x Canon extender, so it will surely suffer more with 2x Kenko. And it won't autofocus.

Using a 2* teleconverter with aperture smaller than f/2.8 results in bad bad things. Also do you actually need to go past 400mm let alone to 800mm?

I was wondering about the extender / converter and the 1.4 looks to give better quality on the 100-400.
As for panning and shooting birds in flight/planes etc it's hit and miss,But 400 should be enough, i want one for a few shots of the moon at night / morning, but with all the bad weather, i am going with Len's for hire when we get some clear weather and the moon is full.

I have the Kenko super pro DG 1.4, which is OK but the image quality is slightly effected.
But that is compensated for the extra reach.
