I think we forgot to announce this in here, but directly as a result of a request from some members, we have drastically changed the permitted filesize limits on linked images.
If the image is hosted on Talk Photography, then it's still restricted to 160k, but all offsite images now have no upper file size limit!
All we ask is that you are sensible with this new relaxed rule. For example, don't link to huge BMP, TIFFs, or even JPEG that are huge. We will still convert inline images to links for you if we feel that it's too large. However we are normally likely to leave it alone unless it's causing an adverse problem.
Please bear in mind too, that if you post a very large image that takes absolutely ages to load, then members are more likely to give up waiting and click 'back', and not bother replying to your thread. A little food for thought :)
All that's left to say is, enjoy the forums, and if there is anything else you'd like to see, the Staff Door is always open...Once again...this is YOUR site, let us know how you like it buttered :)
