Change to the competition forum....

I know we tried a subforum for the Fortnightly theme, and it didn't work....but we were still left with a problem...The competition forum was too messy, and it was even putting me off entering...lol I didnt know where we were up to or what was what half the time...and it seemed too hard to find out..

So rather than give the fortnightlys its own forum, we've changed angle slightly, and now have split it into the following two forums (both on the main index)... :

Photography Competitions (http://forums.talkphotography.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=29)
Including the various Talk Photography competitions, and links and discussions to other photography competitions around the world.

That's basically it in a nutshell. If it's about a photography competition (including our own here at TP) then it goes in here.
Not sure what consitutes a competition? (for example the themes etc etc).
Simple...if there's a 'winner' at the end, then it's a competition :)

Designed to help you along when you're stuck for ideas, give you inspiration for fun things to photography, or to help you break from your comfort zone.

This is where the fortnightly theme now goes...and also any other sort of 'challenge' (eg, "See what you can do with this photo"). or "Challenge : Shoot some flowers with water droplets on", or something like that.
But the forum also includes other things, for example, ideas of what to shoot, where to shoot, and things to do with your camera. To help you and give you some inspiration when you get 'photographers block'

thats the idea, get people involved more, its only a bit of fun, but its not really any fun if people dont enter.

As a further note....the Theme is also changing slightly to make way for something better (sssshhh :p)

Anyway, we won't be having a poll to select the next theme...we'll just be having one thread in the Inspiration forum, to drop in ideas for the next one, and we'll pick one at random, to start straight away.
I know this is taking away member participation in some respects, but it's for a good purpose, we promise :thumbs: and we've never let you down yet have we? :)

There will still be a theme discussion thread and a submissions thread in there.
