Heads up for Alpha 700 owners

Firmware v4 has broken cover. It appeared on the download sight and then disappeared again but there is much exitement amongst those who have already installed it.

Right on cue Sony have released v4.

Improvements seem to include:
Improved high iso noise.
An option to turn NR off on high iso shots
+-2 EV bracket settings for HDR
Additional lens tables
Better auto WB....

Installed it the other day and am well pleased. The ability to turn the Noise Reduction off has made a major difference and the high ISO performance is greatly improved! :thumbs:

Mmmm...There appears to also be some changes to tethered shooting. The new version of IDC has improvements which require v4.
