View Full Version : Epson R2880
Thinking of getting one of these printers this weekend, I know cheaper printers come with a set of inks to get you started. Does anyone know if this R2880 comes with an initial ink set or will I need to fork out for a set of inks too?

As far as I'm led to believe, it contains a full set of ink cartridges and is a damn good printer, by all accounts!
Hi
Yes they come with a set of inks, you won't get many pics from the first set though as half of the tiny amount of supplied ink is used up purging the system, so get yourself some spares.

Half is a bit of an exageration :) I have the R2400 and really think that Epson's larger printers are superb.
I recommend you get a CISS for it, otherwise the cost of inks will be very expensive, unless, of course, you are charging per print. That is, if anyone make a kit for your printer, it looks like a new model and it may take some time till one hits the market.
