View Full Version : Been Offered A Canon EF F4.5-5.6 55-200mm Mark 2
Hi all,
Ive been offered a Canon EF F4.5-5.6 55-200mm Mark 2 telephoto zoom lens
for £70.
It is boxed & in as new condition.
Is this a good lens to have at that price & would it fit my newly purchased
Canon 450d?
Thanks in advance.
Just been advised that it comes with a stock 18 - 55 as fitted to the 450 or
i can have it for £60 on its own.

Depends if the lenses are any good, and £70 for the two would lead me to suspect not.
The 55-250 is a very usable lens in a proper pro capacity, it's not just a hobby lens. You've got £70 now, save it.
Have patience young grasshopper, next month you'll have £140 and you're almost there.
Paired with the 450D the lens is a proper moneymaker. 1 days work = 1 lens ;)
If the 18-55 came with the 450d then that would be a IS model wouldnt it ?
