Sorry to lumber you with another squirrel shot, but I really couldn't resist posting this one. :)
ISO 400, 1/200th at f8, 100-400L at 400mm, tripod mounted.
This is a substantial crop, but the pic is still quite a bit less than 1:1.
I do love this lens.
Wow...thats a great shot. Fancy catching them at that moment...well done.

Oh that's great! :D
Your taking advantage now :).
On my monitor this looks a bit underexposed CT.
Little tweek on the levels brings it out a treat.

Squidgers taking over from birds then ... ?
Missed opportunitties today ... in garden enjoying morning coffee, no gear, Wren brings its family of three babes in and commences feeding the w/worms we give her to the youngsters not much more than arms length away ... DOH !

It looks OK here but feel free to tweek it Matt. :)

No - I actually set up for the birds, but they don't seem to be about.

And the moral is... a camera which isn't with you is a paperweight! :D
I did get some wren shots today, but none of 'em really sharp.
Actually Matt, you're quite right... I 've tweeked it.

Yup , any more of those shots and I'm going to have to take the lens off you :rules:
Wow!
What a great capture!
I don't know if you reposted your tweaked shot but I just dropped it into photoshop (so I can save it and make hundreds of pounds on the stock photo sites) and checked the histogram.
It was quite a way under according to that and pulling it in made the image really pop.
It also really brought those wonderful catchlights out in the eyes.
Thats the version I'm going to sell :naughty:

I'm having troubles swapping lenses :/
LOL
I reckon these 2 need a room ! lol
Great shot CT :) shame they arent Red Squirrels though ;)

Lovely... Very sweet and great cropping. even down to thier feet just poking in.
Hmmm, on the one hand this does show that it's a bloody substancial crop, enough to kill off some shots but it's brilliant isn't it. Crop or no crop, it just works. Pin sharp and perfect capture.
Great capture there CT.........must be great just to sit around all day with the camera waiting for those sort of opportunities:D
LOL. I do have my pressures mate - I'm falling way behind with my guitar practice. :D
Another real cutie, CT!
Was this before they started ripping each others ears off
As my garden is frequented by these little beggars on a daily basis, your last few pics have encouraged me & Ive set myself the challenge to see if this week, I can snatch something of one of my visitors with my humble, one & only, 50mm lens :'(

I think you'll struggle with a 50mm unless they're particularly cheeky, but I'll be interested to see what you get.
Wow, what are the chances of getting a shot like that. Well done CT!
